Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question about Backwater Cat Adventure? Read our list of FAQ below!

Odd Number Parties & Single Riders

Two passengers are seated per boat within each party; we will never pair people with others from another party. This is the safest scenario, especially for novice boaters. If there is an odd party, as a matter of safety, one passenger will be seated as a rider with the tour guide/lead boat. Our boats can be driven by a single person however; we will require that person purchase both seats on the boat at the lowest price available for that tour. Please call us prior to arrival if you want to be a single driver of our boat.

Can I pay by credit card or cash the day of the tour?

Credit card is the only way to reserve your spot (please call if you plan to pay cash so we may get your credit card on file). 100% refunds given when you cancel outside of 72 hours of your boat tour or for bad weather conditions. We’re sorry, but no refunds if you cancel within 72 hours of the tour, if your late arriving and miss the departure or if you simply “No Show.”

Is there a weight limit for the boats?

Yes, the weight limit is 300 lbs per person for safety reasons.

How many days a week are the tours available?

What happens in the event of bad weather?

We will not go out in rain, dangerous conditions/high winds or when the temperature is below 65 degrees. In the event of bad weather we will try to reschedule you to a different day. If we are not able to reschedule, all monies paid will be refunded.

Are the boats safe?

The boats are designed not only for fun, but with safety in mind. We designed these boats from the ground up with multiple hours of testing to ensure stability and comfort. We have a perfect safety rating and intend on keeping it that way.
