“MAJESTIC SECLUDED TOUR! Once in a lifetime experience!”
Review by Allen, Scott and Melissa
Allen was an amazing tour guide. He was very fun and laid back. The whole trip was enjoyable and Allen’s historical knowledge of the islands was second to none. He took amazing pictures of us free of charge and gave great instructions on how to drive the boat. The boats were very fast and a blast to ride. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Amelia island. It was the best activity we did on our whole vacation. Rate it a 10/10.
Thanks for everything!
“A ‘MUST DO’ WHEN ON AMELIA!”
Review by V.A., Toronto, ON
I can’t express how glad I was to have taken this trip… To be that close to dolphins, wild horses, armadillos, wild turkeys, etc… was simply surreal. Couple that with the history and heritage of Cumberland Island made it the perfect trip.
Thanks again Allen, you were awesome!
Great trip!!! We had a blast with the boats. They were easy to handle and a lot of fun. Allen was the best, he showed us around Cumberland Island like it was his own backyard. Seen Dolphins swimming, wild horses, and wild turkey. The only way to visit the island. Allen made this trip worth every penny, he took pictures, showed the bay, and let us have a great day on the water.
Would do this again if we come back!!!!!!!
Who we are…
Backwater Cat Adventure Amelia Island has been managed by Allen Elefterion since May of 2014. He was influenced (thankfully) by his Sister Lisa who founded Backwater Adventure on Marco Island. Allen served 21 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and was looking for a fun and exciting second career. What better way to have a second career than being on the water in some very unique boats!
He feels very blessed to have a chance to entertain people on the Craigcat Boats. The boats are perfect for the history, beauty and wildlife around Amelia Island. Allen has been deeply rooted on Amelia Island since 1989 after he met his wife Carol Lannon, who was born and raised on Amelia. They have 2 wonderful boys in high school who often like to help with the boat tours when they are not in school. Allen and Carol also own a small gift shop in the “historic district” of Fernandina Beach called the Ship’s Lantern.
Special thanks to Tom for his faith in making this exciting tour happen!!
